| U.S. District Judge David Carter ordered the release of emails from John Eastman, an ally of former president Donald Trump, to the select committee investigating the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. In his ruling, the judge wrote, "Based on the evidence, the Court finds that it is more likely than not that President Trump and Dr. Eastman dishonestly conspired to obstruct the Joint Session of Congress on January 6, 2021." |
