Dear Carolyn: What is the most sensitive way to announce a pregnancy (unplanned, if that matters, but a pleasant surprise) to a friend who has been publicly battling infertility, including two failed IVF attempts? She has expressed to me in the past that it's really hard for her to hear about people who "don't even really want kids" getting pregnant without difficulty.
